Wendy's Calorie Count
I love Wendy's. I have eaten there on a regular basis for years and years -- long before I was a calorie counter. When I actually looked at Wendy's calorie count, I found they have an unusually healthy fast food selection of low-fat and low-calorie foods.
Grilled Chicken Salad
Wendy's Calorie Count: 330 calories, with 30 percent of calories from fat.
This is the mother of all healthy fast food salads: it features almost a half-pound of vegetables (broccoli, tomatoes, cauliflower, carrots, and cucumbers), grilled chicken white meat, shredded cheese, and a large bed of lettuce. Taking off some of the cheese will help lower the salad's fat content.
Baked Potato with a Small Chili
Wendy's Calorie Count: 500 calories, with 11 percent of calories from fat.
If you want a filling meal from a fast-food restaurant, this is it. The potatoes are a good size and nicely cooked. Wendy’s chili, always loaded with beans and meat, makes a phenomenal topping for the potato. The combination not only tastes great, but enables you to skip the butter and sour cream.
